Customer Reviews

To improve my omega-3 to omega-6 balance I purchased a container of fish oil (250 softgels) from a major drug store chain. The softgels were not easy to swallow and before the bottle was half finished, I found the fishy flavor afterwards too much. Next I ordered krill oil that is offered under several different brand names. No fishy burps afterwards but I had to hold my breath when opening the container and popping 2 softgels in my mouth due to the none-too-fresh fish-market smell. Then I ordered Everest krill oil from Amazon.com Everest Nutrition Krill Oil 1250 Mg - 60 Softgels. The Everest krill oil eliminated all my annoyances and met my objectives. I already placed my second order and expect to continue indefinitely. The only complaint I have is that the 60-count bottle lasts just over 2 weeks; I wish they were available in a larger, more economical package...perhaps 120 count. BTW, as with all biological products, I refrigerate fish oil or krill oil to maximize freshness.

The "1250mg" noted in the description of this product is the serving size, not the pill size.
The actual pill size is 625 mg, so you are actually getting half as much krill oil as you would
have expected. I unfortunately found this out only after I got them in the mail. I went back
to this product listing just to double check if I had missed an accurate description of this
product when I had initially decided to purchase it, but apparently I did not. Even the image
of the product gives no clues to the serving size, pill size, or total content of the bottle.
As of 1/20/2012, the product description and all related information on the page mentions
nothing about the 625mg pill size; it is patently misleading and effectively a false advertisement.
If it was worth my time I'd return this product out of annoyance for being so blatantly deceived
by these people, but the moderate difference in price for a similar product does not make it worth
my time; fortunately a negative review is a far more effective and damaging form of retaliation.
Shame on you, Everest Nutrition, for misleading and swindling Amazon customers.
You are thieves and deserve to be regarded as such. I will never buy anything
from you again, whether or not you continue to mislead customers with deceptive
product descriptions. With this kind of shoddy sales tactic, one cannot help
but wonder if this company also tries to make an extra buck by cutting corners
when it comes to the quality of their product. I for one am not taking that chance.
